The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 59 of Gaspé, is a non-profit organization that exists to support and engage the citizens of our region, including youth, adults, families, seniors and veterans to enhance their standard of living and quality of life.

We also serve countless non-profits and special interest groups in our area, by providing them with services, programs and resources to facilite the achievement of their mission and objectives.

Programs

The Royal Canadian Legion offers several concrete programs to support veterans and their families, including mentorship, education, and financial support programs. Additionally, it actively contributes to preserving Canada's military history and promoting values such as service, camaraderie, and solidarity.

Veterans Support Program

The veterans support program aims to help veterans with their difficulties, whether physical or psychological, by directing them to the right resources or simply by listening to them.

Poppy fund program

Poppy Funds are financial support for veterans. It is mainly used to feed and house veterans who do not have a lot of money.

Descendants of veterans support program

This program serves to encourage the children and grandchildren of a veteran to continue their studies by offering them one scholarship per year.

Community organization support program

The community organization support program has helped the community, for example by giving donations or even just giving them a free place to organize events.

Seniors Engagement Program

The program helps seniors do everything essential to living in a healthy environment, such as housekeeping. The program also serves to provide rights to home care or just hospital care.
